Last season, Brandon Bass often was the team's backup center and he is just not big enough to handle that role. In 2007-2008 Dallas struggled to deal with high expectations and the previous season’s disastrous loss to Golden State in the '07 playoffs. With last year's pressure removed, the Mavs are forecasted for a better 2008-2009.
