Yeah, I still think that Stack / Quis could be a great trade.
But I don't see Indiana do this unless they give up Tinsley.

What do you think about :

Dallas Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -5.0 ppg, +2.0 rpg, and -2.0 apg.
Incoming Players
Jamaal Tinsley
6-1 PG from Iowa State
No games yet played in 2008-2009
Marquis Daniels
6-5 SG from Auburn
12.0 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.0 apg in 32.3 minutes
Outgoing Players
Jerry Stackhouse
6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina
2.0 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 17.8 minutes
Jason Terry
6-2 PG from Arizona
15.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, 4.0 apg in 30.9 minutes
Plus some ca$h

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Indiana Trade Breakdown

Jason Terry

Outgoing Players

Marquis Daniels
6-5 SG from Auburn

We get rid of Stack and JET's bad contract. We get a decent back up PG in Tinsley and the SG starter we need in Daniels, he can do everything on the court. Plus Carlisle knows them.

Indiana get rid of Tinsley, they recieve Stack and Terry, too gifted offensive players off the bench. If they cut Stackhouse next summer, they will get a better salary cap.

What do you think about that ?

Stack, cash, and our 2009 1st (low 20's?) for Kirk Hinrich. We can't trade our 1st now obviously, so it would have to be a post-draft deal.

Then we could either start Hinrich, or re-sign Kidd for 1 year and use Hinrich as a backup. He could play the 2 next to Kidd as well and not be a defensive liability.

Chicago probably only does this if they're going to re-sign Gordon, which is what I expect to happen.

Is Michael Redd still on the table?

What about Stack + 2009 pick + cash for marbury/Curry ?(I know he's a head case but we need all the fire power we can get.

I would be happy with the likes of Francisco Garcia, Rudy Fernandez, Martell Webster, or even Mo Evans!

That trade does not work because if we do not win the Chanpionship, Stack's salary next year is $3.25 mil (2 mil if waived) and is not withing 125% + 100K for Hinrich.

I'm getting to the point that I'd do that Terry + Stack for Daniels + Tinsley deal just to get rid of the temptation to play Stack.

I'd rather have a Stack + Terry + George for Starbury as he can play SG better than Terry and he can be a backup PG to Kidd as well. A rusty Starbury can't possibly be worse than Stack and if he is, then he expires anyways.

I'm sure you would have to do a Dampier for Bynum trade to even that out.

Forgot about that. I guess we'd have to add in Williams+Barea+George, which isn't too attractive.

As long as it's not for a so-so player with a longer/horrible contract (like Tinsley) I'm perfectly fine with it.

man id like that tins and quis trade for stack and terry
but shoot i would rather get a high-low 1st rounder and a really good perimeter defender who could just shoot he can have the nastiest ball handling ability but all he needs to do is just play sick defense and shoot 40%+ from 3point land

What about Stack and Terry for Tinsley and Dunleavy??

Dunleavy would be a great shooting scoring punch off the bench and could easily fill in for terry and his points. Plus he can play with kidd on the floor without having a defensive liability in size.
in tinsley we get a good point guard backup with ability to score and drive. he is clearly better than stack.
ah i almost forgot they both just have 3 years left instead 4 on terry
