Keep tabs on David Lee

One surprise in New York is DePaul's Wilson Chandler, replacing David Lee as a starter and averaging 14 points and six rebounds. It further suggests the Knicks will deal Lee rather than pay him long term

The quote mentions everything about it. Sam Smith might once again be making things up, but we should have a strong interest for David Lee, and he would be very serviceable to our team if we can acquire him.

Ready to take on Jerome James or Eddy Curry and I don't even know if you get Lee by just taking on James? I have a weird feeling you have to take Curry with an expiring contract.

If we could find a deal including Lee and Marbury then that would be great. Donnie Walsh isnt as stupid as Isiah was though

Because we need Lee on this team to go along with Dirk and Bass at Power Forward?

If your expecting Bass to rebound your mistaken. I'm not as high on him as many Dallas fans. This team is lacking so much already and heart is one of them. David brings passion to this team and can be used as a 4 or 5 depending on the matchup.

I draw the line at taking Curry or Randolph to get Lee here.
Give me some Bass and a good helping of it if the cost is Curry or Randolph.

Oh man--my bet is a lot of teams wish they had Zach Randolph after the fact but he is not going anywhere. David Lee *might* be traded but there is nothing on the Dallas team that would interest the Knicks compared to other opportunities out there. On top of it I don't see how NY can just part with Lee so easily right now--while he has started slow during the season --not terrible by any means but he was putting up 20-10 games pre-season--we simply cant afford to give away a 6-9 245 athletic F being as small as we are right now with Curry Gallinari and Jefferies all out. I think Eddy Curry is going a bit to get some things stright with his lower leg and conditioning but this is the same player who averaged 20-7 a little over 1 year ago and is 25 years old with a reasonable 3 yr contract.
