Stay the same or throw it against the wall?

I was curious to find out what people thought in that if they like the change in the Mavs starting lineup every night or have a consistant starting 5? The reason I ask is once Josh gets back would you like to see the Mavs continue the "mad scientist" routine with:
Kidd
?
Josh
Dirk
Damp
or would you prefer what they were doing before Josh got hurt by running Green out there until he became a liabilty? Hoping that the kid would get it on the defense end somewhat.
Kidd
Green
Josh
Dirk
Damp
Or would some of you prefer a differnet combo that might click a little better?

I have to say the first option at this point just because for the time being it's working. Long term it wont last but I dont see any of these guys really holding down the 2 spot for a long consistent time period besides when JET is the first option off of the bench it makes it a little more possible to do that. Ideally you would like a consistent starting 5 but most teams dont have an instant offensive threat coming off the bench like JET is right now.

Im loving the lineup with Kidd and Barea in at the same time, and its working wonders so far. If that can keep up, I see no reason for it to change. Im sure once Antoine Wright and J-Ho get healthy the 2 spot will be a revolving door between Green, Wright, Barea, and JET.

The Kidd-Barea lineup got us a a loss to the Lakers, a 2 point win against the Hawks, a 2 point win against the Clippers and a decent win against the Suns (mainly due to Dirk's great shooting and Damp's steller defense).
I am dying for Howard to come back. I would like to see Barea keep it up. I would like to see Terry keep it up. But there is no doubt in my mind Howard needs to be in the lineup AND starting.
As for the 2-guard, It can be rotated to see who has the hot hand and keep that person in unless he goes cold.

Starting lineup:
Kidd
Barea
Howard
Dirk
Damp
Quickly change to a larger lineup nights when a large two guard is needed. Hopefully we will continue to use the three guard set with Barea,Terry,Kidd, add Howard and Dirk for a few minutes (6-8) a game. It is great offensively for small stretches but when used too often a defensive liability. I was really hoping Green, Wright,Stack or George would step up to be the starting SG, but for the most part have shown nothing. It looks the Mavs have a 5'10" starting SG for now since no one else was capable of stepping up to take the open job.

man nothin against Josh but i would like to see him come off the bench when he returns just to kinda keep what we got goin right now
like bring him and jet off the bench with all that fire power
that would be pretty damn sexy
i know it wont happen but i think it would be cool just because we got somethin goin right now and makin Josh start off against the other teams 2nd stringers and then make him go against the 1st teamers
its somethin that i would enjoy entertaining though because barea is hot right now and Devean George is playin well also

I was basically thinking the same thing...at least when he first gets back. Its early enough in the season to experiment. It doesn't seem too risky because Carlisle can just put Jho and Terry in if things aren't working. It would also keep the youngsters involved and if they flourish like Barea has, then let them play.
Someone will have to step up before the POs so it is important that Carlisle continue to give these guys a chance. If nothing else, trade value has somewhat increased for guys like Barea, Williams, and Wright...at least as throw-ins in a deal with Stack.

I think J-Ho should start but play less minutes later in the game. Howard always looks good in the first quarter and somewhat disappears later in the game. Past the first quarter I would like to see his minutes cut a little, maybe shave off 8-10 minutes a game and continue to develop the younger players to see if they have a future or not.

Right on the money, I think It should be like this
1st quarter -11 minutes
2nd quarter - 8 minutes
3rd quarter - 5 minutes
4th quarter - 3 minutes
