Stuck in a late-game struggle against Atlanta recently, Jason Kidd picked off a pass and saw Brandon Bass streaking down the court.
"My eyes got huge," Bass said. "He was like Brett Favre. I couldn't get to the rim fast enough. I was so happy to catch it."
The long pass produced a dunk and the breathing room the Mavericks needed for a victory. It may have produced much more than that for Bass.
In the Mavericks' last three games, starting with Atlanta, Bass has averaged 11.3 points and six rebounds. That run extends a stretch of seven games where he's scored in double figures five times and had six or more rebounds five times.
His minutes have stayed level at roughly 20 per game. But his productivity is picking up, which is why it looks like he's ready to expand on his successful first season in Dallas.

I haven't seen him rebound too well this season, wish he was capable of playing sf instead of pf and c.

He has rebounded better, hes getting in good position. You must not be watching
He has to learn more moves inthe paint, other than a hop step. Once he hop steps he is dead in the water, and gets blocked.
