Tyrus, Hughes And Sefolosha Available Via Trade

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Sat Dec 13, 2008 5:42 pm

Sources say guards Larry Hughes and Thabo Sefolosha and forward Tyrus Thomas are the Bulls who are very much available on the trading mark.

The Bulls, however, aren't ready to part with second-year center Joakim Noah, one insider insists, even though Noah appears to have frustrated first-year Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro as much as Thomas has.

Each player has his own problems. Larry Hughes has another year on his loaded contract. Tyrus Thomas seems to have some issues with not only his game but at times he doesn't seem to have much drive. Tyrus still has the most potential. Thabo Sefolosha won't bring much on offense, but he's tall and more of a defender.

Should we even bother pursing any of them?

Only if Hughes or Sefolosha are upgrades at the 2 spot. Sefolosha is probably going to get the same amount of playing time as Wright on this team so no there plus is Thabo better than Wright? The question is would the teams be willing to do Diop/Stack for Hughes/Gray or is that just trading for the sake of trading?

Tyrus? hmm...when we already have guys like Bass & Shawne backing up Dirk, I see no point really unless he will swap with Diop and play some sort of hybrid center role. No need for Thabo as I see him not being any upgrade of our shooting guard J.J. Antoine George. Hughes is the only one I question who could help this team positively; his contract will be off the books by 2010.

I'd trade Wright & Green for Thabo, but I have no interest in hughes,

Maybe even Bass-Stack for Tyrus-Thabo if they are looking at trimming salary.

Tyrus and Sef are interesting, even though they are both having pretty crappy seasons... I would say they are definately worth Stack and Bass

I think Diop is a better shooter than Tyrus, and thats just sad.

Diop for Thabo and Tyrus might be something due to Chicago having no center and that the Bulls were one of the teams that pursued Diop in the offseason. The Mavs though would be back to no backup Center again but it's not like Diop has been playing anyway.
