Pos-Mavs get there 2 guard and another scorer the Warriors get rid of Maggette and get to try again next season.

Neg-Mavs don't get to play FA in 2010, Warriors get bashed for trading the guy after just signing him. Thoughts?

Would have liked Maggette in the off season for the MLE. But now that he is attached to that bloated contract I quickly say no thanks.

I don't know...it's a gamble if you ask me, we also receive these in the trade:

- His new contract (which you already mentioned)
- His hamstring "disaster"
- His "black-hole" like play which I have read about in the past with his play so far with the Warriors

It would give Barea the off the bench spark we'd know he be better at, but will further bury prospects like Wright & Green and cut George's minutes.

No thanks. I like Jerrys expiring more than I like a injury-plagued, overpaid, selfish player. Hes the new Darius Miles

If they want Diop + George for Maggette, I'd strongly concider it concidering Rick refuses to play Diop. Still don't know if I would because of the depth at center and the need for big men in the playoffs. But I'd strong;ly concider it and then try to trade Stack for Etan Thomas.
