Still the Man in D.C.: It's been four-plus years since Jerry Stackhouse was traded from Washington to the Mavericks, but he's still got lots of friends and family in the area.

Stackhouse had to come up with 22 tickets for the game, even though he hasn't played in more than a month now.

The swingman said his sore right foot is improving. But he still is wearing the protective walking boot and has no timetable for getting back to practice, much less game action.

"We're just waiting on it to heal,'' he said. "It's a little more serious than we initially thought. But we'll get past it. I'm not doing anything on it. I can't run or jump.''

Stackhouse said wearing the bulky boot is not exactly something he would recommend.

"It gets me kind of lopsided,'' he said. "You got to kind of be conscious with it to make sure the boot doesn't cause something else.''
