Memphis currently leading the first with roughly 5 minutes left. Memphis is a team that we can't expect to just lay over and we are getting a early taste of what they can do.

Here they go again struggling in the 1st half. Dirk has been great but the rest of the team has struggled. Mavs are trading baskets with the Grizz not good when you are down 10.

Memphis will play hard on us today. Mavs will play HUGE in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but only win by no more than 6 points.

I am totally convinced that having Bass and Singleton on the court at the same time is a very, very bad idea. Even worse with George.

How do our PGs lead the team in rebounding?

Very sad rebounding numbers from our bigs. I could taste the top of the division and yet we drop this game against Memphis. Frustrating!

this loss isn't even a surprise considering how the Mavs played against the Wolves and Sixers. They are expecting to win from behind against bad teams and that isn't going to work everytime, nor at all when they finally face some good teams.

Dirk, Terry and Kidd were largely invisible after halftime.

Josh is back to the same ole inconsistent JHo we know from last season. Same jumper-happy, no impact Josh.

I've noticed that Rick does this thing where he finds who's hot and then sits them for 5-6 minutes of playing time (15 or so miinutes in real life) before he puts them back in. Today, it was Dirk. But it is to anyone who is hot.

That frustrates me.

I thought he had his bench lineup in there too long especially in the 4th quarter. Put in the starters right away, instead of wasting time behind 9 points, until the 7 (or 6) minute mark when memphis had all the momentum and the starters were coming in cold.

Thanks for the gamethread help. Stupid lack of internet in snow and mountains. I wish the Mavs would have played better and me feel somewhat ok about missing the gamethread.
