Dodgers @ Cardinals Series Thread

Friday: Brad Penny vs. Adam Wainwright

Saturday: Derek Lowe vs. Braden Looper

Sunday: Mark Hendrickson vs. Anthony Reyes

Thoughts: Well like usual we have a disadvantage in all 3 pitching matchups, but that didn't stop us last series. So hopefully we can keep up the winning with Slick Rick.

I hear he's the next Ryan Braun, except with good defense. :o

Tough series, hard matchups. We've to take at least 2 out of three...so next week we will play for the playoffs.

La Russa lost us the game, Wainwright should of been taking out to make sure Adam had a good outing, but instead Adam is going to get the loss. Damn it.

Tough loss, but it was a good effort at least.

I didn't have a problem with Tony sticking with Wainwright, who was dealin' tonight. But I would have pinch-hit for Kennedy. Oh well, at least Kennedy made Saito throw him about a hundred pitches before striking out.

Rick is on pace to hit 47 this year in the National League.

Cubs lost, and Milwaukee should have lost in Houston but Brad Lidge is a putz. Lidge hasn't been the same since a spectacular postseason melt-down. I think the Astros should try converting him into a power-hitting outfielder. :D

We got the Trifecta today: Cards win, Cubs lose, Brewers lose. The perfect ending to a very good week. Best stretch of baseball the Cardinals have played in a long time--consistent good starts from the rotation, and lots of power hitting. I hope that's the team we're going to see for the rest of the season.
