Braves @ Cardinals Series Thread

Image vs. Image

Friday, 7:10: John Smoltz [11-6, 3.05] vs. Kip Wells [6-13, 5.24]

Saturday, 6:15: Tim Hudson [15-5, 3.07] vs. Joel Pineiro [3-1, 3.38]

Sunday, 1:15: Jo-Jo Reyes [0-1, 9.62] vs. Adam Wainwright [11-9, 3.97]

I wish we weren't facing Smoltz and Hudson, and although Reyes' numbers don't look good, rookie pitchers have given us problems. But then Wells and Pineiro have looked pretty good lately, and Wainwright has been our best pitcher. And we're at home.

I'm hoping we can find a way to win two out of three. That would put us back at a game below .500...maybe someday we'll have an actual winning record.

Huge win yesterday, all coming from a 5 run 5th. Looking at this series, if we can win 2 out of 3 with Hudson and Smoltz going. I'll take that any day of the week.

This will be a great series for us if we end up winning today.

How sweet it is. Saw most of this one on TV and the pitching was great. Did I see a graphic that said the Cards had only blown one save opportunity since the all-star break?

Two out of three from the Braves.

Four out of six on the homestand.

Five out of seven for the week.

Two games out of first.

We can do this!
