ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Catcher Kelly Stinnett, outrighted by the St. Louis Cardinals on June 28, decided not to report to Triple-A Memphis, the team said Wednesday.

Stinnett batted .182 with one home run and four RBIs in 10 games, nine of them starts, while Yadier Molina was on the 15-day disabled list with a broken wrist.

The Cardinals also released right-hander Tomo Ohka, signed to a Triple-A contract on June 19.

Ohka was 0-2 with a 6.87 ERA in three starts at Memphis.

Two very short lived Cardinal careers.

Releasing Ohka was a good move, another Kip Wells like addiction and we don't need another Kip.
Stinnett...we got him only because Yady was out, a short-term job. I agree with his decision to not report to Memphis.
