Thursday, 6:35 p.m.: Mike Maroth [0-2, 5.75] vs. Tim Hudson [9-5, 3.35]

Friday, 6:35: Adam Wainwright [8-7, 4.36] vs. Chuck James [8-7, 3.73]

Saturday, 6:05: Braden Looper [7-7, 4.60] vs. Buddy Carlyle [4-2, 4.00]

Sunday, 7:05: Brad Thompson [6-3, 5.06] vs. Kyle Davis [4-8, 5.76]

We are catching a bit of a break in missing Smoltz. For a team with a winning record, Atlanta's starting rotation looks kinda soft.

Oh, and it sounds like we could be getting Edmonds back. Of course as soon as he comes back, Rolen goes out. It's been that kind of season. Oh well. C'mon Cardinals, Kip Wells got you guys started on a winning streak, please don't let that valiant man down.

Tonight's game is gonna be difficult, it's a bad matchup. But if Kip Wells threw 8 shutout innings, we can do everything. :D
Going 3-1 in this series would be great, we need that, but I think it's gonna be a split. 2-2, loss tonight, 2 straight wins and a loss on Sunday.
I hope Edmonds can play at his best, it's gonna be hard to replace Rolen, especially on defense. Ryan did well last night, but playing on third with continuity is gonna be hard.

Man, we've had a lot of blow out losses. 10-1 is UGLY.

Banner night for the Cardinals last night.

We couldn't do anything against Hudson.

Mike Maroth is in the process of wrenching the coveted title of "Worst Starting Pitcher in the National League" away from Kip Wells.

Oh, and Carpenter is gone not only for the rest of this season but quite likely all of next as well.

What a disaster. Thank god we squeezed out a championship before the run ended. It's going to be awhile before we win another.

Well, even though just about everything else has gone to hell, we still have Albert Pujols, and I'm grateful for that.

Also, Adam Wainwright is my amigo.

Nice win tonight.

When are these opposing managers going to learn that you just can't pitch to Skip Schumaker when the game is on the line?

Nice to see Rolen go long too. For the record, I still think Rolen is awesome. I hope we don't end up trading him. He's not that old, and he's still a great player if he can just get himself healthy again.
