DeRosa Goes on 15-Day DL

Post#1 » by jarrettjackfan » Tue Jul 7, 2009 5:49 pm

Cardinals placed utilityman Mark DeRosa on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 1, with a sprained left wrist.
DeRosa has already been out close to a week after tweaking his left wrist during his third game with the Cards. He's gone hitless in nine at-bats with his new team, but will try to get going when he returns shortly after the All-Star break.

Not good for the Cards, he gave them an extra threat on offense, not to mention great defense. Now they have to find someone to replace him, who will that be?

Cardinals' third base spot = Bermuda Triangle of baseball

Glaus - DL
David Freese - DL
Joe Mather - DL
Mark DeRosa - DL

We are playing our fifth-string third baseman!

We'd better leave Brett Wallace down at Memphis so that he does not disappear into the Triangle never to be seen again.
