Starting rotation set

Post#1 » by craig01 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 12:40 pm

Joe Maddon announced the starting rotation for when the season begins.

Out is Neimann (sent down to Durham), and JP Howell.

In is Sonnanstine as the #3, Jackson and Hamel as the 4 and 5.

Hopefully Kazmir returns soon. The back end of the rotation is really inconsistent.

How long are we going to stick with Edwin Jackson? I mean the guy had an ERA over 5 in Spring Training. That will probably translate into a 6 or 7 something ERA during the regular season.

I'll give Hamel a bit more slack, but he did even worse, with a 7.13 ERA this spring.

John Patterson anyone?

I agree about Patterson, but I wouldn't give up on Jackson yet.

Hamel is the only stop gap.....I don't like him in the rotation at all.
