Devil Rays (24-31) @ TOR Roy Halladay, RHP (5-2, 3.90)

Scouting Report:
Rays: Sonnanstine will make his Major League debut after Tampa Bay promoted him to fill out its five-man roster. He currently leads Triple-A Durham's staff in wins (six), innings pitched (71) and strikeouts (64), and owns the lowest ERA (2.66), walks (13) and earned runs allowed (21) in the rotation. The 24-year-old has held opponents to .228 hitting this season, and was named International League Pitcher of the Week on April 30. Blue Jays: After undergoing an emergency appendectomy on May 11, Halladay enjoyed a quick three-week recovery and returned to the top of Toronto's rotation for a start against the White Sox on Thursday. The right-hander turned in seven shutout innings -

I am excited about Sonnanstine.

I believe his hwip was just under 1 before being called up.

That is fantastic at any level.

Rays pick up 4 runs in the 3rd, and 4 more in the 4th to take an 8-1 lead.

Sonnanstine struggling in the bottom of the 4th. He throws a lot of strikes, but might need to throw a few more balls....ummmmm.

2 on, no out, one run in.....now 8-2 Rays.

Jays 12-11 ;)

Rays deserved to win though. Unfortunately, the pen let you down. I love the young nucleus the Rays have though.

The bullpen coming apart is nothing new.

Rays should have won, but lets face it......you need major league pitchers in the pen.

Orvella has great velocity, but no command. It was a good opportunity for him to get an inning in.....but geez, starting an avalanche wasn't expected.

End of 7, 5-2 Rays.

Camp and Fossum came in to do the righty-lefty thing. Tonight it worked.

Rays win, 6-2

Bullpen did it's job without having to use Reyes.

Time to win a series now.

Delmon Young's 2 run 9th inning single finished off the Jays.

Glover the win, 3-2, Reyes the save, 15.

Strong effort by Jackson and AJ Burnette (13 K's).

Rays take series, Marlins next.
