Stuart Sternberg finally offered an opinion as the the Rays performance this year.

"On the whole, the wins and losses have been unacceptable," said Sternberg, who used the final word more than once during the course of an interview.

As he did in remarks just after the All-Star break at Yankee Stadium, Sternberg said the blame for the Rays' failures fell throughout the organization, from himself on down to the team's support staff.

"We all have fallen short," he said. "I know everybody's working hard.

Well I'm glad somebody finally came out & said it. Now the trick is doing something about it.
