It's a 1-1 game, middle of the third. Kazmir's first 8 retired have been strikeouts. If it wasn't for one bad pitch that led to a solo home run fo rVernon Wells, it'd be 8 up 8 down all K.d

John McDonald just popped out to end the third, so it's only 8 of 9, but still very much in record territory.

Kazmir's got 9 through 4. Baldelli has two hits, including his first homer of the year. Young takes his first walk of the season, from Halladay of all people. Rays up 2-1.

Navarro still sucks.

Akinori Iwamura sends Young to third on a hit and run single, with 1 out. If I had a daughter of legal consenting age, I'd let Akinori Iwamura impregnate her.

MLB TV keeps cutting off my feed, which is annoying.

4-3 Jays after Reed Johnson hit a three run home run. Kazmir has 10 K's.

Navarro and Zobrist are a combined 2-30 this year. So that's also annoying.

Stokes just struck out Frank Thomas. That's a shame. I wanted to see if he could go the whole year without a strikeout.

I'm not that really high on Zobrist or Navarro for that matter. Obviously I would like to see both be successful, but I don't believe either of them to be the ultimate answer at their respective positions.

NINTH INNING PREDICTION:

Ryu throws a scoreless inning but give sup a walk and a single in doing so.

Iwamura walks to lead off the ninth, Dukes hits a single to right, and Navarro grounds into a double play. Pena taps out meekly to second to end it.

If that's right, I'll give you the money myself.

Well, vaguely right so far. Ryu got through the Jay sbloody quickly in the top of the 9th.

Well that petered out tamely in no way like I said it would. Hmph.

2-3 now and still with some major pitching issues. Kazmir will come around, that we know. But the bullpen hardly instills confidence - 2 more runs in 2 innings tonight. And the lineup is still only 7 strong.
