I choose the Brewers only because I was looking at theirs earlier due to the Capellan thing.

This D-Rays team can hit. There's a beginning, middle and end to the lineup. There's even some power off the bench. The starting pitching is OK, normally. There's plenty of talent simmering in the minor league system. The defense is good all around now, especially the left side of the infield and the outfield.

So if they had a mediocre to decent bullpen, like Milwaukee's, with Wise, Capellan, Cordero and the immortal Derrick Turnbow, how would they theoretically fare?

100 wins? 120?

NOTE - this really isn't a compliment about the Brewers.

Probably 85-88 wins. Right now they'll probably win 78-80-ish. If just one of those relievers steps up or just somehow gets lucky for half a season and every rocket hit off him is right at a fielder, I can see the Rays finishing third. Which would be hilarious for Blue Jay fans.

I actually think Shawn Camp is pretty decent. He has some potential to be pretty good but also some potential to be truly awful.

What would be awesome is if they brought Reyes in for the important at bats instead of giving them to middle relievers like Ruddy Lugo. That would help immensely.

Camp and Lugo were decent set up men last year. But this year, they've been a load of old bobbins. They have time, obviously, but they've sucked remorselessly.

The Reyes thing is definitely true, and I said it in the game thread. Hopefully, they'll realise this. He might make a good closer, but that's no good if it doesn't get that far.

What worries me is that McClung is the first option to come back from Triple A.

Geez, I don't see the Rays anywhere near upper 70's in W's.

I don't think the starting pitching is there, and we already know about the bullpen.

To me, if things stay predictable, I see the Rays maybe approaching 70.

If guys step up as starters 2-5 and give plenty of innings, then maybe upper 70's.
