I would like to announce the addition of a permanent moderator on this forum.

craig01 is now the moderator on this forum.

TheCage is on vacation but he will still be on the board as an interim moderator.

Craig01 is a great baseball mind with a solid background that I'm sure he will tell you about that in his post following this one.

I am confident he will lead this forum to become a great community for Tampa Bay fans here on RealGM.

Please join me in congratulating Craig on his new position as moderator and leader of this forum.

As an Aussie I know very little of baseball or the Rays, but craig has been a regular poster and quality contributor to the Orlando Magic board for some time now.

I am sure he will be a great moderator for this forum. Once again congrats!

I am based in Orlando, and being so keeps me at arms reach of a baseball team.

My first love in baseball was the Washington Senators. They moved after the 1971 season and it took several seasons to get over the anger of losing your team (albeit a very bad one) to another city.

I converted into an Orioles fan by the mid-70's, and by the early 80's was a season ticket holder. Great times, great players, great baseball.

Moving to Orlando 20 years ago rusted my following of baseball, especially after the strike along with the dismal ownership of the Orioles. But I was definitely a strike casualty.

It's taken a long time to reclaim my baseball roots, and the struggles of the Rays reminds me of my early days with the Senators.

My favorite books are the Baseball Encyclopedia (now the ESPN version) and the Baseball Register.

I am a former member of SABR (Society of American Baseball Research), and will likely rejoin.

This will be a work in progress, and I'll enjoy just talking baseball again.

Hey congrats Craig. I thought it was for the Magic board when I saw your new title, but I like baseball too. I'm a pretty big Braves fan. I'll have to look in on this board now. Anyway, congratulations again man.

craig_01, I want to say congrats. I have been in the process of moving so my time has been more then occupied. I have checked in to see how the forum is going & your doing an outstanding job. Howard & Co. at RealGM could not have made a better pick here. I only hope that once I'm settled I can come back & help contribute. Congrats once again & I'll see all you guys soon.
