Love him or hate him, it's gonna happen.

Right now Bonds sits at 746.

I expect that his next flurry is around the corner, and Bonds closes in on the record between the 4th and mid July.

Now, what does baseball do to celebrate this historical feat?

Bonds watch - Now at 747

I hope that MLB as a whole does not fully recognize Bonds when he ties/breaks Aaron's record.

If any record deserves an asterisk it is most certainly this one.

As a purist myself, I don't think that the record holds the same meaning as when Aaron did it.

The whole decade is tainted with statistical credibility......kind of similar to the "live ball" era when Ruth and others went nuts.

Bonds hit #749 last night against the Yankees.

I think the record falls fast now.

Bonds ties Aaron last night with number 755.

Selig was euphoric (sic).

LOL.

We should all have been satisfied to witness such a monumental moment........I watched, but I really didn't care.

What a shame.

Well, it's finally done.

Not many care.

Too bad, it should have been the most talked about event in baseball all season.

Damn Bonds. Damn Selig. Damn the owners.

The kid who caught Bonds 756 should ask for his confession in return for the ball. Or better yet, his soul.

I'm glad that Hank Aaron gave a little congratulations video to Barry Bonds. I'm sure he is a little sad that his record has fallen and the fact that Barry has "allegedly" cheated in getting that record. Showed some class, well done Hank.

Turns out Aaron got paid for the spot.

How sad.
