Rays drop game one 2-0.
Bats "untimely" last night....lol
Great game by Dice K.
Francona must have been out of his mind leaving K in the 8th......oh well, it worked.
That's baseball.
Game 2 tonight.

Rays win game 3 in a rout.....9-1
Game 2 Beckett gets hammered, and Lester gets beaten soundly today.
Sox fans must be worried, and the Rays must guard against a letdown.
Next is Wakefield against Sonnanstine in a game of slow pitch.
This series is far from over, and the Sox will be scrapping on tuesday.

Its a beautiful thing!!
I'm hoping we can jump on Wake early and steal game 5.

I worry that the dead bats for the Sox awaken (Ortiz, Tek, Ellsbury). Their slumps are bordering on impossibility statistically speaking.

Just score nine runs again and it should be no problem and never wake the sleeping giants. Interesting matchup I'd take my chances with Sonnanstine over Wakefield. Hopefully Wakefield is not on top of his game, as it would be a nice one pull out. I'll be rooting for you.......

Ratings are waaaaaaay up, so I guess the curiosity factor is here.
MLB is making the Rays pull off the tarps if there is a game 6/7.
They better be selling those tickets as walkups and not to brokers, it's about 6000 seats.

I guess the 9 run theory is a good one.
Wakefield made last night look like an over 40 softball game.

Wow what a game - I just can't get over how many runs the Rays are scoring. Wakefield is one of those pitchers that could have a great game or he could get bombed. I had a great feeling about this one after the first inning. Three down one to go. I have feeling Dice K is going to have a another great game, this next one is going to be very tough. I'm thinking Ray's in six............

I fully expect the Red Sox bats to liven up.
Also expect the Rays to calm down.
Maybe we'll see a 4-3 game.....
BTW- Kazmir is getting the nod for game 5. It's a "tryout" start I believe.....Jackson may replace him in the rotation should the Rays advance and Kazmir pitch poorly again.
Shields gets game 6.

Here are some other tidbits to consider about Kazmir;
Since 1975, there are 76 visiting pitchers that have thrown for 50 innings or more at Fenway. Kazmir ranks 4th among those pitchers in ERA at 3.04, and 1st among all left handers.
Shields on the other hand, is one of 106 pitchers to make at least three starts in Fenway this decade. He ranks 97th in ERA at 8.90, and is winless (0-3) there.

Wow I think I jinxed you with my Rays in 6 prediction. The good news is that you get to win the next one. I could not beleive the way the one finished. Hopefully you guys can put this one behind you and get ready for the finally. Shields has look good in the playoffs, and i think he has another one in him.

Yeah, you're to blame!
I think the Rays bounce back fine, I just worry that the Boston bats have now arrived.
Shields is one helluva battler though.

Showtime tonight.
The Rays have been resilient all year, no reason to think that would change now.

Yankee fan here. Just want you guys to know that I have your back. Even though things are looking a little bleak I'm behind you guys beating the Red Sox and letting them lose the way they deserve.

Thanks,
What the Rays need now is to get aggressive again, stop trying to jack em out on every AB.
And, of course, a well pitched game.

AS a yankees fan living in New England i hope to god the rays win game 7.
I hope if they have the lead in the 7th that the rays wont be afraid to use David Price out of the Pen.
I hope Garza can give u 7 good innings like the other night.
cause trust me there is nothing worse then watching your team blow a 3-1 lead

I'm a former Orioles fan, converted to the Rays 5-6 years ago.
Birds lost to Pitts after holding a 3-1 lead.
It's painful.
