Hopefully this was procured to put some other catching prospect into a package with Tex, because catching is the deepest part of our organization

Yeah, thats what they've been saying. He's a great defensive catcher, but his offense isn't what it used to be

Its not like he's washed up or anything. He's only 27 and is really still kinda growing as a MLB hitter. Personally, his lack of offense really only bothers me a little bit. He can more than adequately get it done behind the plate which is his most important job. He has been unreal throwing out would-be base stealers this year. I wouldn't cry if we traded him but I would kinda like to see him stay.

Well we got Salty but I dunno how good Salty will be behind the plate so why not keep Laird to help him along. Salty might not even end up catching. But we'll see what happens before tomorrows deadline.
