The Rangers have announced that they have optioned struggling 1B Chris Davis to Triple-A Oklahoma City and have recalled Justin Smoak. Smoak will join the club in Arlington on Friday. He was pulled from Oklahoma City's game in the eighth inning Thursday after fouling a ball off his foot. After being checked out and deemed OK to play, the Rangers decided to make the move.
