CHICAGO—It was a long, boring night in the Texas Rangers' bullpen.

That's just how it goes right now when Colby Lewis gets the start.

Lewis pitched a five-hitter for his first career shutout and the Rangers beat the Chicago White Sox 4-0 on Monday night.

"When he's got that type of slider and he can spot his fastball the way he did tonight, he's tough," Texas manager Ron Washington said.

Colby Lewis needed this win, as he is now 4-4 with a 3.81 ERA, he has won his last 2 starts against Oakland, and Chicago (A), and winning 3 of his last 4 starts he looks like the Lewis from the '10 Season.

As Texas began the season going 9-1, they had struggled in the month of March going 6-8 in the first 14 games. The Angels are currently losing to the Oakland Athletics in the 5th inning 0-3. IF the Angels lose this evening Texas will regain sole position of first place in the AL West by 1/2 game.

Good to see Colby and Matt pitch well but Colby has got to cut down the gofer balls and Matt needs to be more consistant.
