Eric Gagne to Boston

For one of Boston's rookie pitchers with a 5-0 record. Sounds decent if he can pitch in the Ballpark

Scouting Report: Lefty suffered nagging injuries over his first few years in pro ball. When healthy, Gabbard has a high 80s sinking fastball that hits the low 90s with good location, along with a plus changeup and curveball which he mixes in very well. Mature with good mound presence.

Interesting kid they got from Boston for Gag"canadian"ne.

Sounds like a good trade for the Rangers.

Boston's getting quite a bullpen.

Yea that Boston bullpen is legit now, as if it already wasn't pretty good... but from what I hear about Gabbard, I like the trade, especially since he's a lefty because we need a lefty in the rotation. I don't know much about dave murphy or the other OF, does anybody have any news on them?

Happy day for daniels. Gagne will be missed, and Tex will not. Now the wonder is will they develop while Daniels is still in Tex or will the next GM be the beneficiary

I dunno, I think Daniels just extended his stay yesterday. Hicks will let JD see it out.

And there's still a chance we re-sign Gagne over the winter

JD should be back for a while but Ron Washington might want to get update his resume.

he'll be here through at least the 2009 season. he signed an extension last month.

Right like a guaranteed contract by a coach in baseball means anything.

I was talking about Daniels, not Ron.
