Andruw Jones?

Post#1 » by catalyst » Wed Oct 3, 2007 2:36 pm

Fills many roles for Rangers. Great D center fielder, HR hitter, team leader. He is only 30, and coming off bad year. Could make a big difference. He will be expensive, but I think worth the effort.

I'd pass. I think he'll be closer to what he was this season that what he was before that.

Braves declined 20 million per for 7 years.

AJ can barely hit the National League pitching, so I have my doubts about how he would fair against the AL pitching, and he's always the last to arrive at the ballpark/first to leave.

The Rangers need to focus on young talent and not get locked into a contract like the one AJ is asking for.

Either Rowand or Hunter for the CF position. Jones should not be on the Rangers list.

Only 2 years? That's interesting...
