Rangers To Sign Bradley To One-Year Deal
9th December, 2007 - 11:14 am
ESPN.com - Milton Bradley, the fiery outfielder who had his 2007 season come to an end after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, reached a preliminary agreement on a one-year contract with the Rangers.

The deal, which is pending a physical, would allow Bradley to be a designated hitter for the Rangers while he recovers from surgery.

$5 million supposedly, that seems like alot for a guy who's torn his ACL, has basically only ever played one complete season, and is considered a bad character guy.

I'd pass.

the signing is fine, he's got a good relationship w/washington plus he's a very good player when he's healthy he'll most likely be our team leader in OBP which this team needs more of.

he'll probably start the year as a DH and when he gets healthy become the RF or LF i'd guess. he's a buy low guy and if we're out of it in july could ship him off to a team for a decent prospect like lofton last year, but if he is good like i think he can be id try to get him to sign an extension

All that I am hearing is that he can no longer play centerfield,a nd that he will not be available until June. What the hell is going on? I would rather not have a signing then have a lousy one.

None of those prospects are majors ready in the outfield.

Never been a Milton Bradley fan (other than the name). Why would you bring a guy in this locker room that has a character issue. There are too many young guys that he could destroy. Hope thats not the case.
