Millwood (W, 3-2) 7.1 8 5 5 0 3 2 2.78
Wilson (H, 2) 0.1 0 0 0 0 0 0 5.25
Francisco (S, 8) 1.1 1 0 0 1 0 0 0.00
The Rangers sit at 13-12 this season. This time last year through 25 games, the team was 8-17. The win moves them 1 1/2 games behind Seattle for the AL West lead. It's the closest they've been to first after 25 games since 2006.
Is Ron Washington using Frank Francisco too often in the eighth inning? Monday was the third time he's done it this season. In fact, three pitchers got a 1-2-3 eighth inning as Kevin Millwood got the first out, C.J. Wilson the second and Francisco the third.
Good win although Millwood struggled he deserved one after some of those rough losses. Francisco looks shaky at times but continues to get the job done. Andrus not ony belongs but continues to make some game saving plays at short like last night in the 9th.
