Schneider sounds like someone who will connect well with the players while commanding respect as well.

I see some similarities with him and Nick Nurse.

That's the first thing that came to my mind. I used to watch these post-game coach/manager pressers after every game. The transition from Casey to Nurse was night and day. For the Jays, even Gibby was pretty entertaining and sometimes showed he had some baseball knowledge, but when Montoyo took over, his post-game pressers were so boring and gibberish like "hey, we won the series..no need to be upset". Schneider, in addition to being funny, he actually talks like a baseball nerd similarly to how Nurse talks during these pressers.
