Fans support their team. It's sorta, you know, the point of being a fan...lol

I'm sure that was very poignant. I'd say enjoy the game, but apparently you won't be following it...

Poignant for you to reply. And not @ all. Not for this garbage.

Seems like the Hicks experiment is about to come to an end.

lol...Love Horwitz's at-bats. Not sure a guy without a real position or a ton of power is a long term fix, but he always puts together a professional AB

Re: Toronto Blue Jays(41-49) @ San Francisco Giants(44-47)
With how atrocious Varsho and Bichette been at the plate, having them both out of the lineup was actually a net positive the last two games. Give both Varsho and Bichette an extended break, and keep rolling out this lineup.
This lineup looked a lot better with both of them not having Plate Appearances the past two games. You were not missing much offensively with both of them not in the lineup, and contributing almost nothing with their bats.

For me, not so much. Schneider has always had holes in his swing. He reminds me more of a right handed Biggio with a little more pop but even less defence. I think his amazing start in some ways coloured his narrative. I’m not out on him, but not really expecting much either.
Horwitz just has much better contact ability and I think it gives him a better chance to be a regular in the bigs.

I just read a piece about Kiermaier being waived. I turn on Jays in 30 and he makes a spectacular diving catch in the 4th. Then the broadcast reveals he's been waived right after the catch, apparently broken by a NY paper.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

He was placed on waivers but it wasn't with the intent of sending him to the minors or releasing him. They can keep him on the team during the process.
They placed him on waivers hoping somebody would claim him ... Jays would save between $4-$5 million. I doubt anybody claims him.
I think there is close to 0% chance they outright release him - if they have to pay him anyway they will turn him into something via trade. Jays will pay a large portion of his contract (up to 100%) and trade him to somebody for a fringe prospect Somebody will want him as there will be teams he will fit the role of 4th outfielder. Those teams just don't want to pay him at his current rate.
