New Uniforms for Jays?

Post#1 » by asif9t9 » Wed Nov 21, 2007 10:08 pm

Bob McCown was saying something about it tonight. Supposed to get Godfrey on the show. I have a feeling they're finally eliminating the Blue from Blue Jays.

Their's not that much blue on Jays uniforms now, except for the logo. And I don't think they would get rid of that blue, because it wouldn't be a blue jay then.

I don't think they're gonna look that much different.

I wish they would do something retro-ish instead of going for all these modern gimmick things. And more blue!

These were leaked a while ago and ended up being right about the Rays new uniforms/logo/name and the Indians new alternate.

The Jays are holding a press conference on Dec.3/07 to launch the new uniform for the Jays.

That'd actually be sweet, a retro alternate jersey.

Looks like those like-coloured 2 piece set sweats that you get from a Flea Market.

They need to use the first Blue Jays logo as an arm patch.

I would love to see the Jays rock the 90's jerseys.

They're gonna wear the powder blue jerseys on Friday games.

It makes a tonne of sense, its too bad they are so late with the idea. How many years have they been doing Flashback Fridays now?

The Jays wore black at home frequently, so I dont think colour is an issue.

They need to worry more on about the Talent and Player not the threads.

Lloyd Moseby introduces, criticizes the uniforms:

http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/news_story/?ID=224299&hubname=mlb

TORONTO - Lloyd Moseby wasn't a big fan of the powder-blue road jerseys the Toronto Blue Jays wore when he broke into the majors back in 1980.

''When you came up and put it on, you looked in the mirror 1,000 times and it still don't look right,'' said Moseby, who sported the team's new old look alongside former teammate John Mayberry.

''When you start winning it doesn't matter, you stop looking in the mirror, but when you're losing you've got to look in the mirror and I'll tell you, the powder blue wasn't in.
