Honestly, we all knew it. As much as most people denied it, it was true. No millionare athlete would take somthing without knowing what it was. THey are all worried about their dollars and being able to perform.

THey very well knew the risks and uses. But what cna you do thats the game. Hopefully the run socreing doesnt drop.

SUrprisingly thank god A-Rod wasnt on that list. I honestly think he's the best player in the last decade.

Actually the one guy that I'm surprised didn't make the report is Ryan Howard...Out of no where an MVP 50+ homer season, and a 40 homer season in an injury shortened season

The guy has monster power, and he's a monster himself. HE"S HUGE

Very surprised he's clean.

Umm, Howard has only played 2 MLB seasons. So he came into the league after Canseco's book and the BALCO stuf, and the congress hearings and MLB putting in all their drug testing program. Not to mention that many of those players haven't played in the league in years.

I guess he could have taken stuff in the minors but I would imagine that most minor leaguers can't afford the huge expense of HGH.

Woohoo. Let the lynching of Clemens start. This is what I've been waiting for.

And all you guys are taking this report a little too seriously. One, a lot of the stuff is hearsay. Read the report. Some sections are pretty complete, like the stuff about Clemens. Some of the stuff is just, "this guy once talked to this guy about steroids". And even if the guy bought something, it doesn't mean he used it. And what if he only ever made ONE purchase? So he injected a few times?? A guy like Glenallen Hill never did anything while with the Jays.

But, with that said.... Just cause someone is not named, doesn't mean he didn't do anything. This report is not the be all and end all. Hardly anyone wanted to talk to Mitchell. There's only so much reporting he can do. A-Rod, Howard, Thomas.... All these guys could have been doing stuff. How about Bo Jackson from back in the day. Maybe Dennis Eckersley. Anyone who was dominant...

Remember, Canseco was doing this back in the late 80's. This stuff was around for a LONG time. With no testing. And the money was out of control. We need some reporting by media guys. Guys who can get people to say stuff "anonymously", which is what Mitchell couldn't get.

Alot of thoes guys got a hold of the stuff in The Minors. Bigbie, Cust are two that I remember. So it's possible.

I was just stating that I'm surprised because of his sheer size and power. Considering the guy has hit almost 100 homeruns in just 2 seasons.

Yeah Howard was always big, and always had big time home run power - that is why the Phillies never traded him and opted to do away with Thome instead.

I remembered reading some article about Ryan Howard during his second year when he was mashing, and someone did an expose on body types of confirmed steroid users... I remember reading that those with the body types of Prince Fielder, Howard, and Frank Thomas are least likely to use steroids.

In all this talk about the big names like Clemens and Pettite, Gagne has sort of flown under the radar so far.

Have you read the section on Gagne? I love how candid the conversation was with Epstein last year, asking his scout to look into the steroids thing with Gagne, and saying that the Dodgers think Gagne's a steroid guy. And the scout confirmed it, yet Boston still signed him. And now he gets $10M. I guess no one cares.
