Yesavage pitched an elimination game last summer against Wake Forest which might be our best frame of reference for how he would do under this kind of pressure. He went 7.1 IP of 1 hit ball.

Obviously vastly different level of competition but Nick Kurtz was on the other side.

Santander was apparently having some issues batting from the right side. I guess he worked more on hitting from left during rehab and the right side was behind. So they probably don't feel comfortable throwing him in there against Fried.

Straw being in for Lukes isn’t too surprising (not what I would have done though) but IKF effectively for Santander could be the craziest thing this FO has ever done.

Gotta fire them if this backfires as it almost certainly will

And yet they felt comfortable batting him cleanup against a LHP last Sunday in the biggest game of our season
