best thing against yamamoto is to sacrifice kiner falafel and make him hover the plate with hopes to get hit by a pitch.. and then make him run at Yamamoto and throw a punch and connect on his jaw and hopefully knock him out to where he wont pitch the rest of the game or at least stun him enough where he sucks. Lol

A line drive straight at Yoshi's face would do it just as well.

Springer tagged Yamamoto for a hard double before he was hit his next time up.

we had him on the ropes last game in the first inning. Just couldn’t capitalize.

If it gets to 3-3 I like to see what the line would be

Jays are favoured to win the series and yet the Dodgers are still favoured to win game 6 smh

The opening line can change but yea I notice that too
Gamblers bet money out with their hearts and I think most of the “dumb” money is coming out of LA /california and usa regional support for their team.

But this also just makes logical sense.

Let's say the Dodgers are given a 2/3rds chance of winning each game. That would make them the strong favourites to win game 6, but because they need to win BOTH games, and the Jays only need to win EITHER game, that would make the Jays the 55:44 favourites for the series. You can adjust the numbers, but if the Dodgers are given any lower odds for Game 6 (and presumably 7) then that makes the Jays more likely to win the series.

Yeah, I think that's exactly what happened - it got stickied too high up so everybody just missed it - I know I did.

Yesavage is effective with the splitter on his 2nd outing against the Dodgers. Why don’t more MLB pitchers use the splitter? Splitter seems to create higher Whiff rates and strikeout against batters.

I guess I got too carried away with that  . Topics merged and I've moved the GT back from announcements.

Nice recap of game 5 by the great Rich Eisen. Lots of respect and praise for Tre and the Jays.

This run has been magical, so it would only be fitting for them to close this out in game 6......Yamamoto has been the best pitcher they've faced but it's also unlikely he's going to pitch a consecutive dominant game, just like Yesavage who's had 2 dominant games but has also looked human in -between those games.

I hope the jays play that video of Blake snell stating that Vlad’s their only good hitter and the others got lucky on Wednesday. They need to use that as motivation on Friday night.

Jays win it tonight.

Yamamoto comes back to earth and the Jays take advantage. Hoping Springer is good to go.

They’ve burned a lot of good ones already on this run.

There are still plenty of legends left, but if you want the crowd to get fired up, it’s gotta be Kawasaki!

It's because of control. If you place the splitter too high it's an easy home run. Not to mention splitter are thrown as a low ball. If a batter knows you are throwing splitter all the time they just won't swing. So you need a good and strong fast ball to complement the splitter.
