Stewart > Stairs

He certainly wasn't last season. Especially vs RHP.

Stairs has to play vs RHP. He was our best hitter last year.

I have a feeling that Stairs won't be able to repeat last year's offensive output. It just feels like last year just came out of no where and might have just been a one time anomaly. With that said, I hope the other guys improve greatly over last season so that even if Stairs drops off it won't matter.

Only once in the last 6 years has Stairs had an OPS vs RHP worse than 820. And twice in that span, including last season, he's been better than .900.

Stairs could always hit RHP and has been severely underrated as a platoon player for years. He should definitely be platooning with RJ in left just like Cat was used in the past.

Stairs is the perfect platoon guy because he has always done well vs RHP, and something that hasnt been mentioned - he has always demolished the ball in the Rogers Centre his whole career. I agree that him and Reed should be this year's version of the Reed and Cat show circa '05/'06.
