Great win so far.. I didn't catch the game live, but how was Wolfe when he was on? He doesn't get much action yet, so just curious if he looked shaky, or did he hold his own?

Scrappy had another cheap error which led to 4 runs. It was sad seeing him crawl around on his knees going after the ball.

Yesterday was June 14th and seeing that error reminded me of that Seinfeld episode with Keith Hernandez. According to Newman's story, Hernandez made the error on June 14th which led to a bunch of runs and cost the Mets the game. So now I wonder if Eckstein spit on someone in the parking lot. :)

This is why Scrappy was a bad sign, IMO. His calling card has always been that he's not a particularly good hitter, and doesn't have the arm for shortstop, but he's a low-mistake guy with solid range who won't overtly lose you ballgames. Except that last year his errors jumped pretty significantly (still not terrible, but no longer a real strength), and that seems to have carried over to the AL.

Set the post order to ascending on the bottom of the forum. I figure the admins can change this to the default later on.

Thanks for the tip, but that didn't work... I only see posts from 2007. When I clicked on "Ascent", it brought posts dated in 1969 (go figure). Changing back to "Descent", I only get 2007 posts, and don't see any 2008...

Am I the only one who sees this?

35-36.. under .500 we go. :nonono:

I can't wait for this season to be over so we can get rid of JP. It's time to move on.

Once again were slumping, and next week we'll be streaking. Just back and forth, up and down.

Inconsistency.

After 70 games this team has dissapointed. I don't see this changing for the duration of the season.

Is this Ricciardi's last year of his contract? or does he have one or 2 more years to go?

He better not be back next year. Same with Gibbons. Both need to go. This team needs a fresh start.
