Let's give some credit to Garza tonight. He came out strong, and pitched a great game.

I love the last part of your comment spykelee. I think I'm going to use it as my signature! LOL. I hear you bro. Pathetic is the word to describe the offense this year.

So disappointed in Rios. I was pretty excited about him last year but he has completely grabbed and busted after getting his contract.

Since optimism regarding this team has gone from 'glass is half-full' to 'well, at least we still have the glass', I might as well spout pointless drivel about Adam Lind.

Did you know that his .533 slugging percentage would tie him for 10th in the AL if not for the nasty fact that he's a couple hundred plate appearances short of qualifying? It's true!

If you averaged his numbers over 600 ABs, Lind would hit .311 with 26 HRs, 49 doubles, and 108 RBI! Do I hear MVP chants? Yes, in my head! They won't stop!

Lind is so good at baseball, he doesn't need to walk! Why walk when you can crush a double instead!

Now, a Lindrick! It's like a limerick, only with more dingers!

There once was a man from Indiana.
Who could hit home runs with one hand-a.
But his GM JP
Let him rot with the Chiefs
That silly man ought to be banned-a!

Did the Jays really just strand a runner on third with none-out in back-to-back innings? That's f'ing pathetic.

I just now read that Gregg Zaun asked to be traded? Who the hell would trade anything for his useless ass? I'd gladly accept him being released.

lol, thanks Schad for sharing the greatness of Adam Lind.. I had no idea he was putting up these impressive numbers... If he played everyday from here on out, hopefully he'd quality in some of those stats you mentioned, such as slugging

Yep, the Jays are kinda bad at baseball. Ten base-runners through five innings, two runs, including seven in the last four innings without scoring. That's some impressive sucking right there.

In defense to JP, Adam Lind was given a chance earlier in the year and he struggled.

But he has done a complete 360, and has suprised me and I'm sure many others.

What was the cause of this turnaround? Was it Cito? or maybe that he was given a second chance to play with the big league team? or maybe both?

IMO, it was the fact that he was scarcely given a real chance to adjust; 20 plate appearances simply wasn't enough. Perhaps he did make adjustments in AAA, but I suspect that he would have rallied in May if given the opportunity.

Thanks for coming out Scutaroooo. 0 for 5 with 3 LOB.

Another wasted opportunity. We better see a new lineup next year, with a new look for this team. and JP better not be a part of it... that's all I have to say. I'm out.

Just when this team starts playing good again, and gives you some hope, they snatch it right back and play like rubbish.

If we swept the Rays I might've still believed, but I think it's official that we're done. Yanks, Rays and BoSox are all better. See y'all next year.

I really can't wait for this team to get blown up. I've tried to believe we have a legit shot every year, and every year is such a disappointement. Idk why i continue to watch.

I think we're just gluttons for pain :)

I look at teams like the Twins and Marlins that can win with good young talent, without blowing the bank, and then i see the Jays... Some major changes need to be made this offseason starting with JP.
