That's how I feel and I'd bet on it too. They haven't looked comfortable at all during this roadie and if they can get one in Bmore, we'll be good, especially with that homestand coming up.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I would normally agree with that logic, but our homestand this time consists of 3 against boston, three against anaheim and 3 against KC. We've already lost series's against 2 of those 3 teams. Typically we beat the Angels and hopefully that will continue. But if we have to face Greinke and our offense hasn't turned around by the time we meet Boston to start off that homestand. Anything better than 4 or 5 wins would be askin alot...

6-3 or 7-2. Calling it now.

Can Vernon Wells make it 20 consecutive games without a homer or an RBI? That's a big part of our offense tailing off. He had 9 RBIs in the first 20 games along with 4 HRs. In the next 20 games, he had 12 RBI and 2 HRs. He's failed to record a HR or an RBI since (and actually he recorded all of his RBIs in the first 30 games of the season).

He's not alone, of course. Rios is hitting about 30 points under his career average and 15 points under his career average OPS+, and has been now 6 games without an RBI. After going 1-4 today, he's now 2/17 in his last 4 games, so he's also having a mini-slump, but he'd been doing better than we're crediting him mostly. He's not a power guy; he has never been a power guy and is never going to be a power guy. 2007 was a fluke, he's more of a 15 HR guy than a 25 HR guy. We need him to be a higher-percentage hitter and quit bothering with thinking about HRs at all. Get on base, maybe steal a base or two (32 last year was really, really nice to see). He should be all about contact.

Adam Lind has been gone for 7 games now and has hit 3/29 in that stretch; we're REALLY missing his offense, too.

It's everyone and it's terrible. Ugh.

Hill also has a mini slump going. Only 0 HR and only 1 RBI in his last 6 games. Everyone has decided to go on a slump at the exact same time.
