OT- Garko Traded To Giants

The Giants have reportedly acquired first baseman Ryan Garko from the Indians.

In exchange, San Francisco is believed to have sent Single A left-handed pitcher Scott Barnes to Cleveland.

Garko was hitting .285 with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs in 78 games heading into Monday's action.

Barnes is absolutely lighting up the Cal League...BA had his as one of the Giants' top ten prospects pre-season, and he has quite a bit of upside as a tall, lanky lefty. Not the greatest return in the world (unless the PTBNL is someone decent), but Garko's not really that special.
