I think its time we put down Kevin Millar. His ass should have been waived a long time ago. Its mind boggling that they won't release him and give a few AB's to Dopirak

Now that was pretty. CG SO 1-hitter from Halladay with 9 Ks to 3 walks. That's a beautifully pitched game. And very satisfying.

Agreed. After too many non-Halladay starts from him, it is good to see that stat line he put up today.

It was a thing of beauty, classic Halladay. He had a no-no going into the 6th, was striking guys out, mixing the two-seamer in with the cutter and the 4-seam (good sink), nailing guys with the curve... Aw man, it was great. :D

I don't know whether I should cry or laugh at the lineup CIto had churned out today. Its surprising that they would give Millar, Bautista and Encarnacion playing time and not give Snider and Inglett an extended run out there.. Not to mention, Dopirak is being treated as if he punched Cito in the face in the past..

What the hell is Millar doing batting clean up? And my next question is what the hell is he even doing in the game. As soon as he blew that fine grab by Encarnacion, i knew it was going to be one of those days for Millar.

Wells looking good on the 0-4 with the K... Janssen looking awesome with 2 earned runs in 1.1 IP... Cecil with another short and bad performance. Pettite looked bad, walking 5, and we still got 4-hit. Definitely not the way we wanted to work to keep the momentum Halladay created going.

Ah well. We suck right now, so whatever. At least I got to see yesterday, because that was great.

Good on the Jays for adding a third run; keep it up, boys!

Shows how much I've been paying attention the last few weeks. Looks like Encarnation is back though. According to Wilner, the guy's glove is quite good, it's the arm that causes problems. I haven't gotten to see him enough to know either way.

Hill just set the Blue Jays RBI record for second basemen.

Encarnacion is a huge negative at the base, no matter the reason. Two seasons with 23+ errors (one was last year), big negative on runs above average, I don't care if it's his arm or that he has piles, he's not a good fielder.

Meantime, we won today's game. Sucks for Ruiz; he got a facial from JOSH TOWERS...

Tallet looked awful... again. Wolfe was likewise useless. I really dislike having to put Tallet in the rotation, because he's consistently bad, especially the last two months.

BIG offensive night, mostly because of the 5th. Good to see the bats going; where was this over the last two months? :( Nice to get a win. I wish Tallet got a no-decision, though, he doesn't deserve that win.

Is there anything besides practicing that can help a bad fielder become an average one?

Encarnacion is a pretty decent fielder, he moves very well for a guy his size with decent range. The problem is his girly arm, its like no one ever thought him how to throw the fricken baseball. I've seen very few 3rd basemen mess up simple straightforward throws to first base as him.

No, he's not a pretty decent fielder; he's a BAD fielder. His sub-par fielding percentage and high volume of errors indicates as much. He's a pretty good athlete, there's a difference.
