Discussion On Possible Prospects Coming Back

Post#1 » by Raptor04 » Tue Dec 15, 2009 9:04 pm

Hey Blue Jays fans, I am a causal baseball watcher who enjoyed Halladay's time here in Toronto, and will greatly miss him. However, I am not that much "in the know" on the prospects coming back to us, as I don't really follow the minor leagues and prospects.

So, I'd appreciate if any of you could maybe list something about these prospects that we may be getting back, just to help others like myself who might not know that well about them.

I guess some questions I have would be:

1. Rate the prospects in terms of who is better overall (in terms of potential)
2. What role would these players have in the future? (MLB Starter, bench player, allstar, minors)
3. Which prospects would these players pass in our current farm system (Ex, is Drabek better than Romero in terms of potential)

Players to consider: Drabek, Taylor, d'Arnaud, Wallace

I just want an idea of where these players will eventually be, and what we can realistically expect from them. I've heard so far that the Jays are getting good talent back, however when we say we're getting Drabek and Taylor, are these 2 future all-stars or a 5th rotation pitcher and borderline starter?

Thanks in advance
