Toronto doesn't deserve to have the Blue Jays

I went to a game in the opening series, and it was without a doubt the most empty I've ever seen the Dome. That being said, I think the renovations to the concessions on the 100 level are great. They've got some good places to eat now (including a shopsy's), which makes a big difference to my likelihood to go to a game. If I know I don't have to eat a salt sponge hot dog, I'm happy to swing by and grab a bite and a couple of beers with some friends.

Phase II of the renovations should be, in my opinion, to knock out a ton of seats and put in larger more comfortable seats and some type of entertainment area in the outfield. Beer gardens or whatever. Admission can be cheap, money can be made on beer. And eliminating some seats will make the atmosphere more comfortable and intimate.

Overall, I still enjoy the Dome. It needs some tweaking to accommodate a new business model.

Those are some good ideas. One of the biggest things is that the Jays have to attract a walk-in crowd instead of just the people who are die-hard baseball fans. Sitting in the sun and drinking a beer is something that lots of people like to do.

I also like the idea of eliminating some of the seating for more comfortable seats.

The seating idea is great HOWEVER I doubt that Rogers ever does that, sure those seats arent utilized for Jays or Argos games but those extra seats are sure cash grabs whenever there's another type of event (Monster Rally, Concert, etc.) which is really what the Dome was built for... unfortunately not for Baseball.
