I want this nickname to stick.

Lyle Overbay is a Loverboy...

especially with the way he hits. I'm starting to call him that at every game I go to.

just a side note...as of may 5th,2010 Roy Halladay has a higher batting average (.182) then Lyle Overbay (.181)

I didn't see tonights game but I wasn't suprised to see this on ESPN:

Cleveland starter Fausto Carmona benefited from three double-play grounders in the first four innings. Toronto first baseman Lyle Overbay banged into two of them

Also, call me old-fashioned but I still like Overpaid. It's scary to consider he is our second highest paid player.

Hes completely useless and a waste of a roster spot. We are into Season #3 waiting for this guy to get his swing back- its not coming back. Its gone. Long gone. Move on already and get Wallace some at bats in the bigs, or lets trade some arms for either a STUD corner infileder/outfielder and see what happens, but just lose Overbay on the road trip and change the clubhouse locks when you get back.
