Jesus, people. Facts > visceral emotion, please. I distinctly remember people being surprised about Rios' waiver claim last year and even Vernon a couple years ago.

Anyway, I still think Boston is the destination even with Delgado.

Not everyone. Just with those that need to be corrected.

Yes so if someone has their own opinion, and you don't agree with it you will correct them. Whatever Randle says is the best! Apparently Randle likes to delude himself into thinking he is correct, and the rest of us are wrong when we have an opinion on a topic.

first of all, Mustard is 100% correct in what he says. baseball waivers are not like hockey waivers. large contract players are often put on waivers. so no need to argue with him.

same rules apply here that apply on the Raptors' board: attack the post, not the poster. so kindly stop sidetracking the thread.

Who will be the next callup? I guess this is to lay the groundwork for September...

I think Overbay would have cleared waivers every year of his 4 year contract. Any GM that would make a claim would have to be completely and utterly insane.

I can't believe people continue to make excuses for him - he was lousy before his alleged injury, and he was lousy after. The guy had one and a half good years playing on a non-contender against weak NL pitching. And we're still toeing the Jerry Howarth line that "he's still working his way back into form ...."?

Lyle tap-dancing Overbay, for crying out loud.
