Romero has walked plenty of batters and gotten out of innings unscathed. Your perception isn't reality.

It's not what I think, it's what I know.

The detrimental effect of Romero's walks is reduced by the number of ground balls he induces. In fact, he's 5th in the AL in GIDP induced. He's actually quite good at bouncing back from a walk...that is, if you believe statistics.
