A lot of people have asked if it's possible that Overbay could re-sign with the Blue Jays. It's certainly a possibility but the club is looking to experiment with Adam Lind at first base next year. That means Toronto would like to sign a 1B/DH that could split time with Lind at those two positions.
There still isn't a timetable for the return of Dustin McGowan. The Blue Jays GM stated that McGowan has been throwing catch but it is too early to know how he will be able to respond by the time Spring Training opens in February.
Blue Jays prospect Brett Lawrie on hoping to make the Major Leagues this season: "We're going to get our feet wet a little bit here and get to know each other more as we approach Spring Training but that's what I'm shooting for right out of the gate."
