He gave up as many earned runs in that span as Francisco, Janssen, Frasor and Villanueva have in 55.2 combined innings pitched.

a case where a pitcher has a dead arm in an outing but is left in the game. mazzaro's dead arm might as well equate to a position player on the mound. he should have got pulled sooner, 14 er is overkill on the behalf of his manager working on a rested bullpen or not.

"Hello, Tribe fans, welcome to Major League Baseball... sort of. Paid attendance today is 14 hundred and 12. Ofcourse most of them where driven away after that little 10 run first inning the Red Sox put up. Take over Monty, I'm in the bag"

why in the world would you leave a pitcher in until he gives up 14 runs? you'd think after about 5 he would get the hook.

well not that it really matters, but I'm guessing that maybe a couple of those runs were given up by the relief pitcher after inheriting them from the starter.

Kyle Davies started and only lasted four batters, three of which were walks... So i assume he was pulled because of an injury and maybe there was limited availability in the pen ?

Still, sending Mazzaro back out for the fifth After allowing ten in the fourth has got to be about the most embarrassing position a manager can put his pitcher in

After getting pulled, he marched up to Ronald Corey and demanded to be traded.

Hell, even Mario Tremblay would have been in favour of putting Mazarro down instead of sending him out for the fifth
