Jays' Bautista tops 4 million all-star votes

Post#1 » by LittleOzzy » Wed Jun 22, 2011 12:25 am

When it comes to all-star voting, Jose Bautista can't seem to be caught.

The Toronto Blue Jays slugger has surpassed four million votes, nearly 500,000 more than his nearest challenger.

Bautista, who leads the majors with a .476 on-base percentage, a .657 slugging percentage while tying for first with 21 home runs, had 4,156,940 votes in the numbers released Tuesday.

Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano ranks second with 3,664,498 votes.

The 82nd all-star game goes July 12 at Chase Field in Phoenix.

Pretty much the only positive right now with the big club. I'll keep voting.
