Did the Raptors kill Toronto's reputation?

This day will always be remembered in Toronto, perhaps Canadian, sports history. Roberto Alomar is the first player inducted in the Hall of fame as a Blue Jay. Though its a day to celebrate for Canadians, Torontoians and Baseball fans, one question appears in the mind of this Raptor fan. Did the Raptors kill Toronto's sports reputation?

No, no this isn't because of the lousy sports records the raptors have amassed. From Damon to Tracy, Vince to Chris,and Hedo, stars have left Toronto one by one. Leaving the sports world to wonder why can't the Raptors keep it stars? Many come to the conclusion thats its the city of Toronto, not just because of the team's record albeit these stars differ, but it could be the fault of the city.

My question to you, even though it must be cliche, is did the Raptors ruin Toronto's sports reputation? Leaving many players to think twice before they sign onto the Raptors and perhaps this could extend to the leafs, and jays?
